The Parts and Inventory module was designed for inventory control
purposes. Here you record part information such as description, manufacturer,
part number and so on. You also setup stock levels for the inventory items as
well as storage locations.
Inventory items can also be assigned to Part or Equipment Groups.
Part groups allow for the easy lookup of spare parts, and each item can belong
to a countless number of groups. Possible part groups could be the machines they
go on, sub-assemblies or storage locations. By opening part groups you have the
database sorted by only the items that belong to that group, thereby making part
retrieval much easier.
The Parts and Inventory module supports the creation of a part
substitutions database. This really comes in handy when a particular part is out
of stock, a machine is down, and you want to get that machine running again as
soon as possible. Also tracked within this module is how often a part is
actually used, and the costs associated with the inventory items.
Each module in the Maintenance Coordinator System contains their own set
of reports. Some of the available reports in this module is a Check Out Report,
Under Stock Report, Inventory Report, Part Movement Report, Equipment Inventory
report and others.
